Typical Bitsian work
hours are different from what the world generally goes through. Early in the
morning when the sun is already showing its strength on earth, when birds are
busy roaming for their food , when professors are planning to conduct an
announced surprise test and when ghotus
are in a dilemma whether to go to IC and read or to go to library and get their
compri question papers in the so called 10 min break we wake up. We wake up after many attempts ,
changing all possible sleeping positions, pressing the snooze button of the
alarm…. . We see the clock and it shows 11. Arre yaar just 11. So we go back to
sleep and after some time when we realize that the body is no longer supporting
us to sleep we wake up.
The first thing we do is sit in front of the comp which was
left without being shut down last night. We open Facebook. Then we Check out
every ones gtalk status msg. Then starts the day….it starts with lunch. After
that tiresome work of eating food we come back to room… either to watch a
movie,or a season or search for CS , dota , aoe ip’s .In the evening wingies
catch up to go to redi….As we are going through this tough phase there will be other set of people who are busy
in their work.
Category 1
: Love ghotu Birds
These people are more bothered about their marks rather than
their love.
Ghot girl: Hey how much did u get in the last tut test:
Ghotu boy : I got only 9 re … what abt you ?u must have
cracked it haan…
Ghotu girl : No dear…
I got only 9.5 . The instructor is way too strict. When I asked for the other .5 he
looked at me as if Iam asking him to give his wife’s gold ring.
Category 2:
Love non ghotu birds.
These people are
perfect in the way they plan their day to communicate. They use all means and
modes of communication. These people are
seen in redi,cnot,FD etc or with a
mobile phone roaming between the two ends of the wing or chatting with their room door locked. It gets worse in the night . Roaming
continuously in the wing at 3a.m sometimes
laughing, sometimes shouting at times disturbing
the whole wing. What do they talk about all day!!!!!-
Boy : how is ur mess food today?
Girl : Salt in dal
was low re…. had to add some salt myself…
curd was not upto the mark.…
Boy : ohhh dear….How
sad… … U should be feeling hungry.. lets go to sac
Mean while a wingie “Dude … I am feeling very hungry … How
abt SAC-C ?”
Boy : Sorry dude… no cash.
Mess food is at its best…why don’t u go????

: DOSA
This is the most popular department on campus, The name
itself gives an idea about their work– DEPARTMENT OF SPECTATORS AND AUDIENCE , they don’t bother whether it is day,night,sunny,cloudy,rainy,cold,hot
… nothing can stop them…they are passionate and dedicated to their work. They
neither gain nor lose anything by their work but they work relentlessly.
The
department follows no hierarchy. Every one is a leader and every one is a
volunteer. No one takes credit for others work – professional ethics are given
top priority .The network is huge and information transfer in this group is way too quick. The moment
something interesting happens on campus messages are sent at blazing speeds.
The department deals with a wide range of issues. They have
group discussions, panel discussions and
lecture sessions on topics including
1) New pairs
2)
Break ups and patch ups
3)Politics
4)
Hot news from MB
5)People in DISCO, consequences leading to the
issue and decision going to be taken etc.
Issues 1
and 2 are more popular in MB whereas issues 3,4,5 are equally dealt all over
the campus.
Category 4
: Nerds
Nerd 1 : Anushka sharma is coming to campus it seems…. Do u
know
Nerd 2: Not shifting his focus from his books “ Who is
anushka sharma”.
Nerd 1: I donno …heard it when profs were discussing
when I was in IC
Nerd 2 : Lets hope that she will be our new CAS instructor…
the present instructor-he is really pathetic.
These people
can only be seen travelling at high speed between lib,IC,FD’s , LTC … Nothing can really make any difference in their routine….
I guess you are in category 3 just like me... because people from the other 3 categories are damn busy to read this :-)
